Hone is seeking a Member of Technical Staff – Research Engineering to join their team in San Francisco. In this role, you will be responsible for improving Hone's agentic AI systems, which are designed to own outcomes and work towards goals over extended periods. You will focus on developing offline evaluations, simulations, memory systems, and self-improvement loops that translate production feedback into verified changes. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of engineering experience, a background in shipping applied ML systems, and strong fundamentals in ML evaluation, experimental design, statistics, and LLM agents.
