We’re partnering with a rapidly growing, venture-backed startup that’s building the intelligence layer for modern infrastructure - a platform that helps engineering teams understand and automate what’s happening across complex systems in real time.

This is a deeply technical role at the intersection of distributed systems, data pipelines, and infra. You’ll be owning and scaling the system that ingests metrics, logs, traces, and code - running automated investigations and surfacing explainable insights that help engineers move faster and operate smarter.

What You’ll Do

• Own and scale the company’s core workflow engine - the system that ingests observability data and drives automated investigations.
• Design and implement distributed services that orchestrate data pipelines, automate incident response, and enable real-time insights.
• Model and optimize relational data to support high-throughput investigations and performance reporting.
• Harden the platform for scale by improving reliability, reducing failure modes, and optimizing system performance.
• Collaborate across product and infrastructure to translate ambiguous requirements into production-ready backend and platform features.
• Set engineering standards for communication, documentation, and system design, shaping how the entire platform is built.

What You Bring

• 4 to 8 years of engineering experience, including at least 2+ years in a hyper-scaling environment
• Proven experience building and scaling distributed systems and backend service
• Deep experience designing and optimizing relational data models
• Excellent communication skills and comfort operating in ambiguity with high ownership

Compensation: $200K–$300K base + equity
