Hermeus is seeking a Lead Propulsion Component Engineer to develop flight-critical propulsion components for high-Mach and hypersonic aircraft. This player-coach role involves designing hardware from concept through flight qualification, operating in extreme thermal and pressure environments, and leading a small team of engineers. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in mechanical or propulsion hardware development and strong fundamentals in fluids, thermodynamics, mechanics, and materials. You will be responsible for owning components from clean-sheet design through test, qualification, and flight, contributing to rapid build-test-iterate cycles.
