Vinci is seeking a founding Member of Technical Staff for AI Compute & Data Infrastructure to own the petabyte-scale storage and GPU compute for training foundation models in physics. This hands-on role involves setting the compute and data architecture, optimizing workload scheduling, and ensuring the reliability and cost-effectiveness of the training platform. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems, specifically with GPU infrastructure for large model training and petabyte-scale data serving. You will be responsible for enabling the AI team to run experiments efficiently and reliably, while also providing technical direction and mentorship.
