Varda is seeking a Principal Aerodynamics Engineer to lead the aerodynamic development of their next reentry vehicle, covering rarefied entry, hypersonic maneuvering, and subsonic terminal approach. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with 6-DOF reentry vehicle dynamics, hypersonic CFD simulations, and wind tunnel campaigns, having been involved in the aerodynamic development of a currently-flying vehicle from inception to flight. This role requires a BS in engineering or physics with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, including managing aerodynamic or flight programs and proficiency in CFD/DSMC simulations and tools like Matlab or Python.
