Turn 50 million model downloads into 50 million in revenue.

Mixedbread has everything VCs dream about: we're ex-Google Search engineers with models that beat OpenAI, 50M+ downloads (5% of all global AI model downloads in 2024), and customers already building with our APIs.

What we need: someone to build the business machine.

You'll:
Own revenue from $0 to $10M+ ARR
Price products that range from $0.01 per million tokens to six-figure enterprise deals
Build our go-to-market engine (PLG + sales-assisted)
Close our first 100 customers personally
Design and execute hiring pipelines to build our SF team (engineering, sales, ops)
Lead our commercial team and help shape company culture
Turn technical superiority into market dominance

You are:
A builder who's taken products from zero to millions in revenue
Technical enough to demo embeddings and vector search
Strategic enough to see where AI search markets are heading
Comfortable doing things that don't scale (then making them scale)
Excited to work directly with technical founders

You've:

Been early at a developer tools company (Stripe, Twilio, Vercel, etc.)
Built revenue at a technical startup
Managed both self-serve and enterprise motions
Turned open source communities into paying customers
Or have the grit to do all of the above

Compensation
Base salary: $120K - $220K
Equity: Significant equity package - we're one of the first 10 hires

This is a founding role—you'll shape our commercial DNA and grow into CBO/COO as we scale. Based in San Francisco, backed by investors/advisors from OpenAI, Vercel, Perplexity, Scale AI, and Google DeepMind.
