River is seeking an exceptional Physical Design Engineer to join their team, responsible for transforming high-performance architectural concepts into production-ready silicon for custom AI accelerators. This role involves owning the physical implementation flow from synthesis through tape-out, focusing on maximizing PPA on advanced foundry nodes. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience with advanced process nodes and deep proficiency in industry-standard physical design tools. You will collaborate closely with RTL designers, drive synthesis and place-and-route, and optimize layouts to meet aggressive frequency targets and ensure timing and electrical closure.
