Scale is seeking a Machine Learning Research Engineer specializing in Robotics to join their Robotics business unit in San Francisco, CA. This role focuses on solving the data bottleneck in Physical AI by conducting applied research and developing ML pipelines for training and fine-tuning models. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of industry experience in robotics, computer vision, or embodied AI, a PhD or equivalent experience, and a track record of published research. You will collaborate with customers to advance the industry, develop novel evaluation methods for VLA models, and bring ML outcomes to Scale's platform.
