micro1 is seeking a Research Engineer, Member of Technical Staff, to advance modern AI models by operating at the frontier of Reinforcement Learning (RL). This remote role involves developing novel RL environments, training pipelines, and evaluation systems, translating experimental ideas into scalable, high-performance systems. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in RL, a strong track record of building and scaling RL systems, and proficiency in automation and data generation, including synthetic data pipelines. You will architect complex RL environments, design and scale training processes, and build automated data generation and evaluation systems. This position offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $200,000 –$300,000 USD, equity compensation, and comprehensive benefits.
