Astro Mechanica is seeking a Test Design Engineer II to design, fabricate, operate, and improve test infrastructure for innovative jet engines and subsystems. This role involves creating and operating test infrastructure for hardware R&D, ensuring rigorous testing of new designs to meet quality and performance metrics. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on experience with propulsion, fluidic, or mechanical systems, including hardware testing and analysis, and a strong understanding of hazardous environments and safety mitigations. You will be responsible for designing test stands, developing detailed test plans, conducting hardware testing, and implementing safety best practices.
