NewCo - Head of Finance (Full Time or Fractional)

The Role:
We’re seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting and finance professional to help us manage the financial backbone of our early-stage membership-based startup. This fractional or full time role will own core accounting processes, cash flow management, and budgeting, ensuring we have the financial clarity to make smart decisions and scale our member base with confidence. You’ll work closely with a Tier 1 VC incubation team and the NewCo founding team.

You Will:
Oversee day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, and monthly close
Manage cash flow forecasting and ensure sufficient runway for operations
Build and maintain the company’s budget, tracking variances and advising on adjustments
Develop and maintain financial reporting for leadership, investors, and stakeholders
Partner with the founding team to set up scalable systems for accounting, expense tracking, and financial compliance
Coordinate with tax advisors and ensure all regulatory filings are accurate and on time
Provide ad hoc analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Provide strategic financial insights and reporting to inform business planning and growth initiatives

About You:
You have 7–10 years of experience in finance and/or accounting—ideally with exposure to startups, investment platforms, or fintech and familiarity with recurring revenue/membership models
You’re highly detail-oriented and know how to build clean, scalable financial systems from scratch
You’ve worked with external accounting firms, tax preparers, and legal advisors, and understand how to manage those relationships effectively
You bring strong judgement, discretion, and a low-ego, high-ownership mentality
You’re analytical, proactive, and driven by clarity and precision in your work
You’re based in the US and ready to collaborate closely with our LA-based team
You’re open to full time or fractional work
