Proxima Fusion is seeking a Plasma Edge Transport Physicist to join their team in Munich, focusing on stellarator design. This role involves tackling the critical challenge of controlling plasma edge and exhaust in 3D magnetic topologies to enable robust heat and particle exhaust for commercial fusion power plants. The successful candidate will develop and apply state-of-the-art theoretical and computational models, collaborating closely with engineers to integrate these insights into next-generation plasma exhaust systems. We are looking for someone with a postgraduate degree in plasma physics, strong experience in edge transport, and proficiency in scientific programming languages, motivated to build systems that define the future of fusion energy.
