Nu Quantum is seeking a Principal AMO Physicist to join their trapped-ion testbed team in Cambridge, UK. This role involves designing and executing remote-entanglement experiments, mentoring junior physicists, and developing laboratory systems at the intersection of atomic physics, cavity QED, and quantum engineering. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, expertise in experimental AMO physics (preferably ion-trapping), and strong skills in laser locking, system automation, or real-time control. You will play a key role in demonstrating Nu Quantum’s proprietary qubit–photon interface technology and contributing to the long-term vision of quantum networking.
