Rhoda AI is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to own the mechanical design of actuators for their next-generation generalist intelligent robots. This role involves end-to-end ownership of motors, gear trains, and housings, from concept through mass production, ensuring performance, manufacturability, cost, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in precision electromechanical hardware design, a strong grasp of machine design fundamentals, and deep proficiency in CAD and GD&T. You will act as the architect of your components, translating system-level targets into manufacturable hardware and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate designs into the larger robot system.
