Universal Quantum is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Haywards Heath, England, to develop hardware for ion-trap quantum computing. This role involves designing, building, and testing thermal control systems and electronic enclosure assemblies for quantum devices, and integrating mechanical designs with laser and electronics systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in designing mechanical systems, including thermal management and electronic enclosures, and be proficient in 2D & 3D CAD and CAE tools for thermal and mechanical FEA.
