Nominal is seeking a Systems-Level Software Engineer to architect and implement the real-time backbone of their test automation and simulation platform. This role involves working across the full stack of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems, focusing on deterministic task scheduling, bus I/O, and timing synchronization. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in systems-level or embedded software development with C++ or Rust, and a deep understanding of real-time constraints and RTOSs. You will design and implement hard real-time components, develop deterministic communication layers, and integrate with embedded targets to validate autonomy and control software, ensuring microsecond-level timing guarantees.
