Black Forest Labs, creators of Latent Diffusion and Stable Diffusion, is seeking a Staff / Senior IC Member of Technical Staff - Pretraining to lead the development of their next-generation multimodal foundation models. This role is central to their research efforts, focusing on shaping training objectives, architectures, data strategies, and systems for image, video, and audio models. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading pretraining for foundation models that have shipped to production, possessing deep expertise in large-scale distributed training and architectural design. You will contribute across the full stack, from low-level GPU optimizations to high-level model design, with a direct impact on products used by millions.
