Muon is seeking a Senior Optical Engineer to lead stray light control and analysis for infrared remote sensing instruments. This role involves defining requirements for optical components, optimizing transmission through custom coatings, and driving R&D efforts for complex thin-film coatings and optical filters. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in optical systems, expertise in non-sequential ray tracing (e.g., FRED), and experience with thin-film design software. You will serve as a primary technical liaison with vendors and perform hands-on metrology to verify component performance.
