Basecamp Research is seeking a Senior Scientist, R&D, to join their Global Research team in London. This role focuses on developing and optimizing DNA/RNA extraction and sequencing workflows, particularly for metagenomic recovery from challenging sample types, to build the world's most diverse genomic database. The successful candidate will contribute to the Trillion Gene Atlas Project, working in a laboratory-based setting with ownership over projects and collaborating with global teams. We are looking for an ambitious individual with at least 5 years of experience in molecular biology and sequencing projects, a strong understanding of metagenomic extraction, and a passion for continuous improvement in data generation.
