Vast is seeking a Senior Flight Software Engineer to lead the development and verification of flight software for a new constellation-ready spacecraft bus, designed to scale to hundreds of spacecraft annually. This role involves adapting heritage FSW for constellation-specific challenges, including new GNC algorithms, C&DH updates, and fault protection, while also driving HITL lab requirements. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of embedded flight software experience, particularly with C/C++ on Linux-based systems, and a proven ability to modify and extend existing FSW baselines. This position offers the opportunity to build and lead a small FSW team as the program expands, contributing to Vast's mission of enabling continuous human presence in space.
