We're looking for an exceptional engineer to join our founding team and take ownership of critical components across our technology stack. In this role, you'll collaborate directly with the CTO and CPO to architect, develop, and optimize our platform. As an early team member, you'll have significant influence on technical decisions, product direction, and company culture. Your work will directly translate to improved healthcare access for patients by streamlining referral processes that currently create bottlenecks in the system. This is a rare opportunity to leverage your technical expertise to solve meaningful problems in healthcare while having substantial impact on a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Backend Architecture: Design and implement scalable backend services using Node.js, SQL, and ORMs like Prisma/Sequelize/Drizzle. Create efficient API endpoints that handle growing demands.
Frontend Development: Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces with Next.js that deliver exceptional user experiences while maintaining performance.
Automation Workflows: Develop and maintain automation processes, particularly using browser automation tools like Playwright/Puppeteer for testing and data processing.
Database Optimization: Design comprehensive data models and optimize queries to ensure database performance as the application scales.
Agile Execution: Ship high-quality code independently while staying aligned with the product roadmap and business objectives.
Requirements:
- 6+ years web programming experience
- 4+ years with Node.js
- 2+ years with Next.js
- 3+ years with SQL
- Experience with ORMs (Prisma, Sequelize, Drizzle)
- Native-level English proficiency
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Proficiency with copilot-powered IDEs (VSCode + Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.)
Good to have:
- Healthcare industry experience
- Browser automation experience

Compensation: $5 - 7k/month cash + equity (1–2.5%).

We’d like you to build a simple To-Do application using Next.js and deploy it to Vercel. The goal is to evaluate your ability to structure a Next.js app, use modern best practices, and deliver a working deployment.
Core Features
- Add To-Dos: A form where a user can enter a task name and submit it.
- List To-Dos: Display all current to-dos in a styled list.
- Mark Complete: Each task can be toggled between incomplete and complete. Completed tasks should be visually distinct.
- Delete To-Dos: Allow users to remove tasks.
Next.js Specific Requirements
- Must use Next.js 15 with the App Router.
- Use Server Actions or API routes for CRUD operations.
- Include basic client-side interactivity (e.g., React hooks for form state).
- Persist tasks in a simple in-memory array (reset on server restart is fine). If you prefer, you can use SQLite or Supabase for bonus points.
Styling & UX
- Use Tailwind CSS for styling.
- Provide a clean and minimal UI (no need to over-design).
Deployment
- Must be deployed and accessible via Vercel.
- Include a link to the deployed app and a link to the GitHub repo.
Deliverables
- GitHub repository with clear commit history.
