Muon is seeking a Staff Mechanisms Design Engineer to lead the design, qualification, and sustainment of mission-critical deployable and actuated mechanical systems for spacecraft, such as solar array deployables and HDRMs. This foundational role in the new Solar & Deployables hardware group involves owning these single-point-failure systems from requirements to on-orbit operation. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience, with at least 5 in the space industry, and deep expertise in mechanism design, analysis, and qualification. This hybrid position requires on-site work in San Jose, CA, three days a week.
