River is seeking a Member of Technical Staff, Hardware, Kernel Engineer to build the foundational compute engine for their high-performance custom silicon. In this role, you will design and implement robust kernel generators that emit optimized low-level assembly code for a greenfield hardware architecture. You will be responsible for bridging high-level compilation with raw hardware capabilities, pushing the custom architecture to its theoretical limits for critical deep learning operations. This position requires deep expertise in low-level performance programming, computer architecture, and modern C++ to collaborate with hardware and compiler teams and unlock maximum compute efficiency.
