As a Big Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the extraction and processing machinery within a big data infrastructure that handles 6GB of data every minute. This role involves pushing the quality, width, and depth of data on over 140 million companies, with significant ownership and impact. You will mine and analyze web data, assess new data sources, build custom data models and algorithms for large text datasets, and develop pipelines for customer-specific data products. The ideal candidate has fluency in statistical languages like Scala, experience with data architectures including Spark and Cassandra, and strong data modeling instincts.
