This role is for an ML Compiler & System engineer to take end-to-end ownership of Quadrants, an open-source translation layer that optimizes Python code for various CPU and GPU backends. The primary goal is to build the best Python compiler for physics and performance-critical numerical computing, enabling engineers to write readable code without sacrificing performance. You will be responsible for the API, IR, optimization passes, numerical primitives, and the overall roadmap, with a strong emphasis on usability and pushing the state of the art in compiler technology. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in GPU programming, Python API design, and compiler internals, and is proactive and self-directed.
