As an ML Research Scientist at Lila, you will develop foundation models for multimodal data extraction, advancing scientific superintelligence by interpreting and structuring scientific knowledge across various data types. This role involves researching and building AI systems, fine-tuning large language and multimodal models, and creating scalable pipelines for heterogeneous scientific data. You will collaborate with domain experts and publish research to push the boundaries of AI-driven knowledge extraction in the physical sciences. We are looking for candidates with a PhD and expertise in machine learning, NLP, and vision-language modeling using PyTorch and Hugging Face Transformers.
