Basecamp Research is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to join their AI Research team in London. This role involves building the systems and models for frontier AI in therapeutic design, working with petabyte-scale genomic data and pushing hardware limits with custom architectures. The ideal candidate will have a PhD or equivalent experience in building AI systems at scale, with expertise in large-scale data engineering, distributed training, or model implementation. You will be a full member of the research team, making decisions that shape research possibilities and accelerating the path from idea to result, while being genuinely curious about biology and possessing strong software engineering practices.
