Databricks is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for GenAI Performance and Kernel to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of high-performance GPU kernels for their GenAI inference stack. This role involves developing highly-tuned, low-level compute paths, managing hardware efficiency trade-offs, and mentoring other engineers. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in writing and tuning compute kernels for ML workloads and strong knowledge of GPU/accelerator architecture. You will collaborate with ML researchers, systems engineers, and product teams to advance inference performance at scale.
