Alta Ares is seeking a Business Development Manager for Japan, their first dedicated presence in the market, to build institutional and industrial relationships and establish the company as a trusted defence AI partner. This role involves high ownership and autonomy, focusing on opening doors with Japan MOD, Self-Defense Forces, and leading Japanese defence primes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the commercial pipeline, converting relationships into partnerships and contracts, and acting as a crucial cultural and operational bridge between Japan and the Paris leadership team. Native or near-native Japanese and fluent English are mandatory, along with 2-4 years of relevant experience in defence, aerospace, or deeptech sectors.
