Muon is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong design and analysis skills to join their new Solar & Deployables hardware group. This foundational role involves designing mission-critical deployable structures for solar arrays and owning the structural, dynamic, and thermoelastic analyses to ensure their survival and performance in space. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in high-reliability hardware design and structural analysis, with expertise in FEA and CAD. This hybrid position requires on-site work in San Jose, CA, three days a week, and offers the opportunity to shape design and analysis practices from prototyping to constellation-scale production.
