Select, develop and maintain measurement systems and metrology tools

Create SOPs and workflows for sample measurement and provide training (both written and verbal) for staff

Develop and use data management systems including laboratory information management systems and manufacturing execution systems

What we’re looking for:

B.S. in a technical field (or equivalent industrial experience) including materials science, electrical engineering, or physics

7+ years' of experience working as a process or metrology engineer

Thorough understanding of measurement systems, including optical and electron microscopy, surface probe measurements, optical and NIR probes and x-ray measurements

Experience working with metrology vendors and directing metrology service providers

Ability to successfully work with internal customers

Commitment to safety and quality

Ability to take directions from supervisors and work independently in a fast-paced, startup environment

Ability to create work instructions for staff and technicians, and provide training

Meticulous attention to detail

Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills

Bonus points for:

M.S. or Ph.D. preferred

Experience in the semiconductor, battery, solar cell, optoelectronics or related fields

Experience with high uptime systems

Must-have Requirements:

Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

Perform activities such as stooping, climbing, typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time

Dedication to safety to mitigate industrial hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, and cryogenics

Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally, including compressed work-week shift schedule
