As our Founding Engineer, you will make core decisions about our technology and infrastructure, working at the intersection of AI, genomics, and open science.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and build the backend for our genomic intelligence platform.
• Own the entire development lifecycle, and make key decisions on tech stack and infrastructure.
• Collaborate directly with frontend engineers, machine learning scientists and computational biologists.

Experience Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a **proven track record of building and scaling backend systems from scratch (0-to-1 experience).
• Deep expertise in building robust, scalable backend services.
• Experience designing scalable architectures and databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, vector databases).
• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP) and modern infrastructure.
• A product-minded approach to building in an early-stage environment.

Please note this role is based in Cambridge, MA. We have a hybrid structure with at least 3 days in office required.
