Empromptu.ai is an AI application builder that enables technical and non-technical teams to create production-ready AI apps with embedded capabilities like models, RAG and intelligent processing. Unlike simple builders that create static websites or complex ML tools requiring specialized teams, Empromptu delivers sophisticated AI applications for business teams.

We saw a problem in the market: most "AI app builders" are just website builders with a sprinkle of AI. At one end, you’ve got lightweight builders that fall apart in production. At the other, complex ML tools requiring full-time teams. We’re the missing middle—an actual AI application builder.

We built Empromptu.ai for real-world deployment, not demos. With proprietary optimization technology, our apps reach 98%+ accuracy in production. We’re a seed-stage startup, moving fast, building for scale, and led by seasoned founders from CodeSee, Docker, Google and astrophysics-driven AI research.

The Impact You'll Make

As one of our earliest engineers, you’ll own major parts of our AI builder platform—contributing directly to production-grade features used by real customers. You’ll architect and ship multi-tenant infrastructure, contribute to intelligent builder workflows and ensure our customers get 98%+ accurate AI apps out of the box.

What Success Looks Like

30 Days: Deploy a production-ready feature using our optimization stack. Ship impactful PRs, contribute to reviews, and identify areas for system improvement.

3 Months: Lead development of a major feature (e.g. tenant-aware builder logic). Improve test coverage, observability, or deploy cycles. Shape architecture decisions.

6 Months: Own a mission-critical area, drive performance/accuracy wins, mentor teammates, and shape roadmap direction.

Must-Have Skills

5+ years of professional experience

Strong skills in JavaScript, React, and Python

Excellent communication: clear thinking and clarity in written/spoken collaboration

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience building “builder” or low-code platforms

Experience with multi-tenant architecture

Familiarity with AI/ML-powered applications (no deep expertise required)

Who You'll Work With

You’ll join a tiny, high-output team working fully remote across the US and Canada. We’re direct, collaborative, and production-obsessed. You’ll work closely with the founders (Shanea and Sean), both deeply technical and visionary, and partner across engineering and product to ship fast.

Career Growth

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $175K–$225K USD or $215K–$300K CAD (based on location)
