Gatik is seeking a Senior Systems & Safety Engineer – Hardware to lead the safety architecture, reliability engineering, and functional safety compliance for their autonomous vehicle hardware stack. This role involves ensuring Gatik’s AV compute, sensor suite, power distribution units, and networking backbones can withstand severe conditions without compromising safe autonomous operation. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in hardware safety engineering within automotive or aerospace industries, with deep knowledge of ISO 26262 and experience conducting FMEDA and FTA. This onsite position in Santa Clara, CA, is crucial for maintaining the ultra-reliable, fail-operational hardware required for Gatik's autonomous medium-duty trucks and tractor-trailers.
